Kate Nash has announced the completion of her second album which she explains was “inspired by women”.

The disc is set for release in the next few months and includes former Suede guitarist Bernhard Butler as featured guest on the record.

Kate spent most of last year out of sight of the public eye working on her project – Being a person. Getting a flat. Buying a bunny rabbit. Passing my driving test” and apparently listening to ’60s girl-groups and riot grrl bands, she revealed to Paste magazine.

Tracks already confirmed for the album have the working titles ‘Doo Wa Do’ (first single), ‘Paris‘, ‘Kiss That Girl‘ and ‘Don’t You Wanna Share The Guilt‘.

The song , ‘I Hate Seagulls’, was inspired by her current relationship with The Cribs’ member Ryan Jarman. Kate explained to the nme : “I had never been in a serious relationship before – it changes a lot of things,”

“It’s like [on the song], ‘I hate seagulls, I hate groupies and I hate being sick’. Sometimes there are things where you’re like, ‘F**king hell, I hate all this bulls**t’. Then there’s someone who you love… that’s the reason you’re alright.”
