Graham Coxon to Join Babyshambles?

Graham Coxon is rumoured to be teaming up with Pete Doherty again by joining Babyshambles.

Coxon was heavily involved in the making of Pete’s solo record, Grace/Wastelands, and according to a source close to Doherty may be joining forces with the former Libertines member yet again.

Since Coxon reunited with Blur for gig’s last summer, the band have made no further plans to work together, which leaves his schedule free.

A friend of Pete’s said: “Pete loves working with Graham and the feeling is mutual. He’s keen to accommodate both Graham and Mick, but if push came to shove Graham would take priority.”

It’s unclear whether this will affect the position of Babyshambles current guitarist, Mick Whitnall, who has songwriting credits on the band’s last album, Shotters Nation.

Despite only being a rumour, having Coxon on board could be exactly what Doherty needs to inspire him and bring out the best in his songwriting after the fruitful results on his solo album.
