Mumford & Sons Announce US Album Release and TV Appearances

London’s latest indie rock sensation MUMFORD & SONS announce the new, earlier release date of their much-anticipated, critically-acclaimed debut Sigh No More. The album will be released February 16th in the US on Glassnote Records.

Florence & The Machine New UK Tour Dates

Florence and the Machine have announced details of a UK tour to take place in May, beginning in Dublin before commencing with three dates at London’s Hammersmith Apollo.

Tickets go on sale at 9am (GMT) on January 29th.

Edinburgh Corn Exchange, 5th/6th
Blackpool Empress Ballroom, 7th/9th
Wolverhampton Civic Theatre, 10th/11th

The Specials To Play US For First Time In 30 Years

The Specials have announced two dates in the US in April – their first US gigs since 1980.

The band, who were at the forefront of the British New Wave/Ska scene in the the early Eighties, are set to appear at the legendary Coachella festival on April 16th, before moving on to New York for a show at the city’s Terminal 5 venue on April 21st, reports Brooklyn Vegan.

Kasabian, Arctic Monkeys Lead 2010 NME Awards Nominations

Kasabian can add the NME Awards to the growing list of nominations for their album ‘West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum‘ after the record was selected in this year’s Best Album category. The group will face stiff competition from Arctic Monkeys‘ third album ‘Humbug‘ amongst others, while the Sheffield group will also compete with Kasabian in five other categories including Best British Band and Best Live Band.
