At last night’s London Tabernacle gig,  billed as ‘Florence As Friends‘, fans saw singer Florence Welch (Florence and the Machine) joined by guests throughout a 12-song set. The tall red head was joined by the likes of Jarvis Cocker, Patrick Wolf, Kid Harpoon and Jack Penate.

“Tonight is all about collaborations, about people who I’ve worked with, and people who’ve inspired me,” Florence explained to her fans and invited her first guest – Patrick Wolf – to join her onstage to play ‘Cosmic Love‘ and ‘Dog Days Are Over‘.

The evening’s climax however saw Welch and Jarvis Cocker pair up for a version of Pulp’s ‘Underwear‘ and a version of Florence and the Machines ‘Girl With One Eye‘. The duo were backed by musicians including Cocker’s former Pulp bandmate Steve Mackey (who produced Welch’s debut single ‘Kiss With A Fist‘) on stage.
