Blur

Blur’s triumphant headline spot at this year’s Glastonbury Festival has been voted the Best Headline Performance at this year’s UK Festival Awards.

The band, who reformed for a series of gigs in the summer, produced one of the best performances of their career when they played a hit-laden, crowd pleasing set on the closing night of the festival. Other memorable headline appearances at Glastonbury from veterans Neil Young and Bruce Springsteen saw Glastonbury 2009 pick up the Best Major Festival award.

Elsewhere Kings Of Leon, who delivered a memorable performance at Leeds Festival this year, picked up Anthem Of The Year for their hit single ‘Sex On Fire’, while a string of impressive shows from Florence & The Machine saw them pick up Best Breakthrough Act.
