The Ex-Smiths Frontman Morrissey was tonight playing at the Oasis Leisure Centre. It has been reported that the singer collapsed towards the end of his first song, This Charming Man.

The show was halted instantly and medics were brought on stage and Morrissey was stretchered off. After 20mins members of the crew came on stage and announced Morrissey was to be take to hospital and unfortunately the show will be cancelled.
It was reported the singer was suffering from respitory problems and was unconcious. By the time ambulance crew arrived to the scene the singer seem distressed and in ill health but was concious. He has been reviewed by medical staff and the latest is that the singer is now stable. We wish the singer well and good health. Get well soon Morrissey!
Update:
A Great Western Hospital spokeswoman said he was kept in overnight as a “precautionary measure” but was “much improved” and had been discharged, reports BBC News.
A statement posted on his website itsmorrisseysworld.com also read today (October 25): “Morrissey is in stable condition after his collapse in Swindon Saturday night. Thanks go out to all his well wishers, more information will be posted as soon as it is available.”
