Paul Weller In An Unlikely Jam

The Jam

The Jam

Could it be: Paul Weller and The Jam, take two?

Well the cards are on the table after Paul Weller recently rekindled his friendship with Bruce Foxton, The Jam’s bassist.

If it happens it would truly be one of the unlikeliest reunions in the recent music world. Another romp of one of Britain’s most loved guitar bands would be a blast.

After the Jam split in 1982 Paul took a stubborn stance and refused to talk to any of his band mates for decades.  Saying he wasn’t interested in the past a reunion seemed impossible.  He once blurted out “my children would have to be destitute and starving in the gutter before I’d even consider it.”

In the wake of the recent deaths of Weller’s father John who managed the Jam and Foxton’s wife Pat who passed away of cancer the ex band mates have once again become closer. Foxton was even invited to ‘work on some idieas’ at Weller’s recording studio.

Let’s hope these jam sessions result in the resurrection of the iconic band that has been dearly missed.
