21-year-old Elly Jackson, better known as La Roux, is finally on the verge of releasing her debut album, after much hype and a whirlwind UK tour supporting Lily Allen.
The eponymous album is set to contain material dealing with everything from heartbreak to invincibility, and to include the already-released singles “Quicksand” and “.” Next up for the singer will be the single “Bulletproof,” a song that is expected to be one of the hottest songs for the summer.
La Roux has built up quite a following after performing a string of club shows earlier in the year – including a residency at London’s YOYO – and the singer has thus far proven herself to be more than just another disposable dance pop act. La Roux and producer Ben Langmaid have done much to bring classic songwriting back into clubs – and onto charts.
